Guangzhou International Lightning Exhibition (also known as GILE) is the trade fair for the entire lighting industry in the Asian region and abroad. The annual event is organised by Messe Frankfurt and held simultaneously with GEBT (Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology), a leading expo for products and solutions related to home automation, energy efficiency, and smart power distribution. The 2025 edition of GILE will be held from 9 to 12 June at China Import & Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.
GILE’s 30th edition will welcome more than 188,000 local and over 20,000 overseas visitors. They will explore the latest LED solutions and technologies showcased across more than 260,000 m2 of exhibition area, organised in 26 halls. The extensive product range will include LED and lighting accessories, components and equipment, lighting applications, smart lighting appliances, and many more.
For its 2025 edition, Guangzhou’s lighting expo will provide an extensive supporting program with many educational activities, networking events and specialised initiatives. Guangzhou International Lightning Exhibition (also known as GILE for short) is regarded as one of the most crucial events dedicated to the lighting industry for the Asian market. The annual trade fair is organised by Messe Frankfurt Group, one of the world’s largest trade fair, congress and event organisers.
GILE’s main concept is achieving human-centric spatial design and city planning by connecting people with art, business, and technology. This mission is supported by its goal of showing the latest sector innovations and advancements in LED technology.
The event runs in parallel with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT for short), a leading showcase for the latest technologies and products in home automation, energy-efficient buildings, and smart power distribution. Both events provide participants with a platform for gaining inspiration and exploring new solutions, techniques, and technologies and their applications in the light industry.

More than 209,000 total visitors, both local and international, attend the trade fair. They are looking to establish new relationships and sign deals with prominent suppliers, explore innovations and new product developments, network and gain industry knowledge by attending seminars and conferences during the trade show.
India, Russia, Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan are the top five countries and regions generating the most visitors. 60% of the visitors work in top management positions and have decision-making powers.
